The most effective frost protection is to install heating cable on the sand bed under gravel fill and flat. The heat generated in the cable prevents the frost to penetrate the soil under the plate and causes damage.
Power: The heating cable has a output of 17 W/m. Overall output is dependent on depth and shown by table below.
