Clear colors in a box
A completely transparent plastic box, called VISIBOX, conveniently houses flexible H05V-K and H07V-K energy cables used in electrical cabinets for industrial electrification or for wiring machinery, providing 100% visibility of distinctively colored cables contained within.
Management by eye
Since color coding is extremely important for cable management, VISIBOX makes it easy to immediately identify the colored cable an installer needs and its exact cross-section. The box also contains a cable-guide which also serves as a handle for easy transport.
A quest for clarity and ease
The innovation started with a market study where we met users face-to-face and took into account their expectations: a guarantee of the RAL color of cables (i.e. the real color reference to rigorously define a specific color), five differentiated colors in the blue range, They also wanted a hard shell to protect the wires during storage and use, an embossed stamp to show cable diameter, and transparency so as to check color. At our Autun plant, special tooling was created to allow us to integrate the boxes into daily production.
High product recognition
Those using VISIBOX are primarily “panel installers” who are specialized in manually running cable to and from large electrical cabinets on industrial sites. A survey conducted after the launch showed that we had achieved high product recognition by users in a very short period of time: 80% immediately recognized VISIBOX, and nearly 30% of them had already used the solution. The benefits were: important time savings, simplicity of use, smooth feeds, easy storage and stacking and important savings in terms of reduced waste.
