The 2008 Safety Awards rewarded three factories for their involvement and safety results.
Among factories with zero lost time accidents in 2008, the site of Langhus (Norway) won the “Outstanding Results” Award as it also presented remarkable results in the two primary criteria for industrial performance.
In the category “Outstanding Improvements”, the site of Elouges (Belgium) was awarded for having reduced by 50 % its frequency rate of lost time accidents.
Finally, the “Outstanding Initiatives” Award was won by the plant of New Holland (USA) for having implemented “participative teams” and for having trained 100% of its personnel in health and safety.
