Quality in focus
To guarantee product quality we carry out inspections at all stages from receipt of raw materials, through manufacturing, to final inspections. Other important aspects of the quality programme include preventive measures and continuous improvements, combined with a systematic approach in which every quality issue is reported and the underlying cause is analysed.
Nexans Sweden was quick off the mark in terms of quality management, receiving ISO 9001 certification as early as 1990. That made us the first cable manufacturer in Sweden to be certified.
The quality system is the cornerstone of our ongoing quality programme.
A customer oriented programme – involving targeted activities aimed at continuous improvement and quality development everywhere in the company – results in satisfied customers, greater job satisfaction among all our employees and, ultimately, improved profitability.
To achieve this in a changing world, it is essential to develop individuals as well as the group. All employees receive general and specialist training to improve the way they handle new requirements and requests. We also monitor our processes so where know exactly where we stand and so everyone has the information they need to make the right decisions.
To further increase customer satisfaction, we conduct regular customer surveys to find out what we are doing well and where we could improve. A number of projects have been and continue to be run in order to enhance customer benefits. Many customers ask for short lead times, high reliability of delivery, quick and accurate information and good personal service combined with modern IT services.
