Rules of conduct - for the benefit of all

Good business relationships are based on respect for each other's industries, challenges and conditions. The gut feeling is often an important instrument in the process of building relationships, but without frameworks and codes of conduct that we jointly agree on, we would not be able to build as sustainable and long-lasting business relationships as we would like.

  • Code of Ethics and Conduct
    Nexans´ Code of Ethics and Conduct is intended to help people who work on behalf of the Group to act on an impeccable manner in their daily work. The code is part of the Group's Corporate Social Responsibility program and all employees must sign it every year.
     
  • Sustainable purchases
    Nexans Group uses Ecovadis to evaluate selected suppliers on their sustainability work. The assessment is based on 21 criteria in four different areas: environment, fair working conditions, business ethics and the supply chain.
     
  • Transports
    We see there's a greater demand for sustainable and more environmentally friendly transport, such as fossil-free transport. This is something that we will work more actively on together with local partners. 
     
  • Conflict minerals
    Conflict minerals refer to four elements - tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold. The definition 'conflict minerals' refers to the trade of these minerals since they're often used to finance armed conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo and surrounding countries. Often, child laborers are also used to extract the minerals. 
    This is something we at Nexans strongly dissociate ourselves from and it is important for us to ensure that we have control of the supply chain.
