Elektrikerpodden visits Nexans' lab
Aug 27, 2025
Follow into the lab
On a warm summer day in early June, the Elektrikerpodden team drove into Grimsås. With cameras ready, Billy and the crew had a clear mission: to find out how a cable actually comes to life.
There were many questions: Where does it all begin? What does the process look like? And what tests must a cable pass to deliver reliable energy year after year?
To get the answers, they stepped straight into the heart of the operation, Nexans’ unique laboratory, where ideas are turned into innovations and cables are developed and tested to ensure quality and safety.
Billy put on a lab coat for the day, guided by Sara from Nexans, and followed each step of the process. He watched how a cable took shape, from materials in the lab to the finished product.
