MSc Thesis

QUALITY: Current state analysis and development of a method to secure preliminary measurements in production.
• How is our measurement preparation?
• Do we follow the corporate standard?
• Do we even follow our own standards?
• Some measure with KSM, others with calipers.

PMO – CUSTOMER SUPPORT: LLM to ensure customers easily get answers related to our product range via the website .
• Work in Azure Databricks and create an environment with correct product data (catalog) and build an LLM.

PRODUCT DEVEOPMENT: Reuse and recycling of fiber optic cables in Sweden.
• Investigate possibilities for reuse, recycling, and end-of-life management of fiber optic cables in a Swedish context.
• Focus on technical, environmental, preparedness, and legal aspects.

DIGITAL: Build a master database in Azure Databricks.
• In Azure Databricks environment, build a master database handling master data for design, product, process, and finance.
• Ensure interface with ERP and MES.

SUPPLY/ENGINEERING: Value stream analysis including KanBAN and SMED methodology.
• Conduct a value stream analysis including KanBAN and SMED.
• Deliver a standard work method to ensure future implementation.

PRODUCTION AND SUPPLY: Capacity and flow optimization of a new product department.
• Conduct a current state analysis and propose improvements.

DIGITAL: Create database in Azure & reporting database in Power BI.
• Build a database in Azure with data from multiple systems.
• Develop a reporting database in Power BI based on organizational needs.

RESEARCH AND DIGITAL:  Time Series Similarity Search for Batch Process Manufacturing.
• Explore and evaluate time series similarity search techniques in batch manufacturing.
• Assess feasibility for process enhancement, quality control, and predictive maintenance.
