The new MXQ Easy is here!
Apr 24, 2025
School’s out for Class 5 – MXQ Easy takes the lead
Work smart, not hard!
What? New rules in SEK Handbook 421? Don’t worry – they only affect Class 5 conductors. With our unique Class 2 conductor, there's no need for upsizing or calculating extended disconnection times. MXQ Easy is a Class 2 conductor that performs like a Class 5 – allowing you to keep working as usual, only safer, smoother, and faster.
Slim, flexible, and easy to strip
With a completely new design, MXQ Easy is thinner, softer, and more adaptable. It slides easily through conduits and is easier to connect in tight spaces. On top of that – incredibly easy to strip! A dream come true for every installer who wants to get more done with less effort.
When regulations get tougher – choose the right cable
Class 5 conductors come with longer disconnection times, increased energy losses and possibly a need for larger cross-sections. The updated tables in Handbook 421 now reflect that (well done SEK – safety first!). The result? Many installers now have to start rethinking their cable sizing. But not with MXQ Easy. Thanks to its Class 2 conductor, the updated rules don’t affect it – it still delivers the correct resistance values, despite its compact and flexible form. You get better conductivity, safer installations, and no need to recalculate.
A cable with both brains and heart
MXQ Easy is halogen-free, contains 30% recycled copper*, is made in Sweden and built for Nordic conditions. The durable sheath with clear and permanent laser marking ensures easy handling and a long service life. This is a cable that both feels and performs better. So be smarter than a fifth grader!
PS.
MXQ Easy replaces FXQ Easy.
- Class 2 conductor
Better conductivity and shorter disconnection times.
- Unique flexibility & slim design
Easy to pull through conduits and install in tight spaces.
- Easy to strip & work with
Saves time and reduces physical strain.
- Halogen-free & partially recycled
Naturally halogen-free and contains 30% recycled copper*.
- Developed and made in Sweden
Locally produced, tailored for Nordic conditions.
*percentage of guaranteed purchased recycled copper (credit-based mass balance).
Cable Classification (for dummies)
Class 1: Solid conductor
Class 2: Stranded conductor (few wires)*
Class 5: Flexible conductor (many wires)
Class 6: Extra flexible conductor (very many wires)
* M-line (e.g. MXQ) has more strands in the conductor, making it more flexible.
