Elmässan 2026: Cable innovations, insights and conversations that continue

Three days at Elmässan in Kista. Three days of cable talk, curious questions, product innovations and conversations with the people who work with our cables every day.

From 13 to 15 October, the electrical industry gathered at Kistamässan in Stockholm. At Nexans' stand B:08, visitors had the opportunity to explore installation solutions, meet our product experts and share experiences from their daily work.

Two innovations in the spotlight

At the exhibition, we showcased two new solutions designed for different installation needs, both with a focus on making everyday work easier.

FQQ Easy™ LED – now in N-Line

Our flat LED cable is now available pre-installed in metre-marked N-Line conduit. Designed for downlight installations, the solution reduces the need to pull cables separately through conduit and makes handling easier on site.

Alsecure EXQ Easy™ – easy to work with. Essential when it matters.

A new fire-resistant installation cable based on EXQ Easy. Developed for installations where essential electrical functions must be maintained during a fire, the cable offers 120 minutes of fire resistance under specified test conditions.

Alsecure EXQ Easy™ made its first exhibition appearance at Elmässan and is expected to become available through distributors in the first quarter of 2027.

More than product launches

Visitors could also explore solutions for easier cable handling and different installation needs, including Cable Guy, MXQ Easy and the EXQ/GRHAL hybrid cable, which combines power, fibre and communication in a single cable.

But products were only part of the story. Just as important were the conversations about real-world installation challenges, practical experience and how we can make everyday work easier together.

12 seconds with a purpose

How close could you get to exactly 12.00 seconds without seeing the clock?

That was the challenge in our exhibition competition. The target was a playful reference to the 120 minutes of maintained electrical function demonstrated by Alsecure EXQ Easy™ under specified fire-test conditions.

It was also an opportunity to highlight an important distinction: a cable's CPR reaction-to-fire classification does not indicate how long it can maintain electrical function during a fire.

The cable conversations continue

Together with Willefix, we also met exhibition visitors for KABELSNACK, our cable talk series featuring questions, spontaneous answers and insights from the electrical industry.
